Exceptional 10.0
We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very helpful and friendly - they really shined throughout our stay. The room was small by US standards, but this is Paris, so it was fine. It was a fair bit larger than other places we stayed in France, so we were very happy. Everything was clean and well organized, and the sitting room in the lobby was quite nice. The location was great with lots of nice cafes all around that had much better food at better prices than places in the more touristy areas. Upgraded windows were also great as they kept street noise to a minimum. The bathroom was fairly large and well-lit, which was a nice treat. Two (minor) negatives about the bathroom: 1) no fan; 2) shower. At 6'1", I'm rarely a fan of European showers, as they tend to spread water all over the bathroom if you aren't using the shower head by hand. Granted, that's my own cultural bias - my girlfriend loves the hand held shower. The real negative was the water temperature. It would switch from ice-cold to scalding hot in a milisecond, which was a bit on the annoying side. But if this is the worst thing I have to say about the hotel, it's definitely a win, especially at the price we paid. We would definitely stay here again - actually, we did. I had another room paid for by the conference I was attending that we cancelled to return to the Hotel Quartier Latin. We also returned for our last 2 days in France, so we were very happy with the experience.

a little noisy until 2.00 AM in the morning, due to very local winebar right next to the hotel. Else a very nice hotel, great location and friendly staff

Very nice location, helpful staff when checking in, getting info. Trouble using wifi. Did not eat breakfast there....quite expensive. Lots of cafe's and places to eat nearby. Two subway stations very convenient.
