Great to sleep in, just be wary of the locals.
I had a great stay in a convenient shopping area, I actually purchased an amazing suit a block away fiend 150 euro. The only problem I had was the plethora of street walkers on Rue St Denis a block or so over. They generally leave you alone, but will tell you 50 euros for "fun" if you stop and window shop. Saying no is easy and they aren't pushy, but if you try and take pictures of nice clothes or have your phone out, they get very angry and assume you are filming them. The hotel is great, tiny bathroom but very clean and comfortable room

reasonable and decent
stayed for 4 days with family (2 rooms). clean bed and bathrooms, small elevator, and small rooms. But, comfortable stay, considering you only come back to hotel for sleeping on comfortable bed and use clean bathroom.

Perfect for us!
Our stay of three nights here went very well. Our room on the second floor was very comfortable and as a nice surprise in Europe, had a bathtub/shower combo. We had a twin room instead of a Double, but that wasn't an issue for us. The room was also equipped with a small mini bar, small desk, clean bedding, and two windows that opened to the bustling street outside. The hotel staff was helpful upon checkin, offering us with suggestions of places to eat and a map of the city, we had no issues communicating. The hotel is located very close to a metro station, so you are easily just minutes away from any place in the city. Although the metro is simple to navigate, you are also only a 20-30 minute walk to Notre Dame and other not to be missed sights in the city. The wifi was excellent, I would stay here again.

Wish I researched more
Paris is filthy and this hotel was at least consistent with that trend. It is in the garment district, but you can only shop if you own a store yourself. The rooms are dark, you have to have a key to turn on the lights, which is shotty at best. The showers are clean-ish. At least we only stayed two days. Don't even try to walk to the train station, you will see the "true colors" of Paris. Never again- for Paris or this hotel.

Hotel interior fine, surrounding neighborhood not
Pros: helpful and friendly staff, rooms small but clean, 15 min walk to Louvre, 5 min walk to Metro station Cons: surrounding neighborhood (on way to Metro station) not good. Could smell #1 in doorways and saw #2 (human?) on street, saw ladies of the night on corner, felt uncomfortable walking home one afternoon with inebriated guy in street picking up one of these ladies
