Nice hotel but a little pricey. I liked the room and the vicinity to Los Ramblas. The elevators are small but getting luggage in out worked out fine. Since we booked this hotel after a recommendation, with little time to research, I would take a little more time in the future to see what is available. The free breakfast was average. The coffee was pretty good though. If you are a smoker, try to get a room with the large balcony. Our balcony barely held one person Larger, more convenient balcony's are available. Overall, I would rate this a 6 out of 10 experience based on the price.

Rooftop pool in late October? Yes please!
Beautiful property with a maze-like floor plan. Finding your way to the room is a challenge, but once there it's beautiful and comforting. The only issue with this hotel is the side street that it's on. When we left our hotel on both days, the smell of urine and vomit was heavy in the air. I feel the locals don't care much about the hygiene of the street. Otherwise, the staff was so super accommodating, the rooms are spacious, beds comfortable, and ease of access to local sites perfect!

    Awesome accommodations
We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel and were extremely satisfied with it. Very nice, very clean and very modern accommodations. The service was excellent. I had read other reviews that one downfall was the lack of a full shower door. That is true – there is only a half shower door. So water does get onto the floor. We requested extra bathmat towels and that definitely helped. Otherwise, there were no complaints. We were extremely happy and very comfortable with the accommodations. Would highly recommend!

    Good Location
Conveniently located a few blocks off Las Ramblas, a wide, noisy, crowded street with lots of stores, restaurants, etc. The narrow side street on which the hotel is located is very quiet with little foot or automobile traffic, which was nice but it made us a little wary after dark when walking back to the hotel. We never felt unsafe, however. Our only complaint was that it was impossible to get a taxi at the hotel to go anywhere, perhaps due to location. The front desk will call one for you but they won't show up, even if you arrange a specific time a day in advance. After waiting a second time for an hour and missing a prepaid tour, we figured taxi service was futile. We used Uber from then on for places too far to walk, which was no problem. The front desk personnel didn't seem concerned about groups of guests waiting in the lobby for taxis that'd never arrive. Overall, the hotel was nice - breakfast buffet was good and room air conditioning ice cold.
