Great location and value
The Rio is a great value for Venice. A perfect location for getting around. We stayed in the annex, which is separate from the main building, because we needed a room that held three. Though small by U.S. standards, it was large enough that we didn't feel crowded and the pull-out bed worked fine for my son. Perfect place for a few nights stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful and we would be happy to stay there again.

Great location.
Getting to the hotel was pretty easy, the staff members were extremely friendly and helpful. The bag hold was very convenient and helpful. Beware, no lift at all. You will have to lug your bags up many flights of stairs. Get a lower level room if possible. The room was very attractive but smaller for a triple. it's Venice so I assumed it would be smaller. The hairdryer is weird and gets frustrating to use. The location is fantastic. Take a private water taxi from the train station to the hotel. Unforgettable experience.

Thanks Hotel Rio!
We just stayed for one night. It was overall a great hotel. No complaints. The staff was helpful and polite. The room was a bit on the small side but it is Italy so we expected it to be that way. The bed was on the harder side. I was more then comfortable but my husband said he woke up a bit stiff. The decor was current and pretty, you can tell its a newer hotel. Location is great for sight seeing, but I'd find a restaurant away from that area. We actually saw one of the places microwaving pasta. Thanks Hotel Rio, we had a great stay.

Venice, a great place to visit.
We stayed right in the main part, shops, res, right there,at the door. Olny problem was the harassment from the monkey's on the street try to sell you fake garbage and when you tell them to go away, they show there real colors, calling you all sorts of names, but keep importing more venice, eventua you will destroy your tourism. Industry. The hotel owners were great people, they complained a lot obout these monkeys harrassing there customers to police and nothing is done????? The food was great and pretty cheap €3-50 for a great sandwich. The food and deserts were all great. Yes room was small, but i didnt go to venice to spend all day in. Hotel Room. Americans are not use to small rooms. Ride the gondalas, €80 for 3p min, was ok.
