Nice and quiet!
When we arrived we were told that a large group of Dutch high schoolers would be staying there, so they suggested we stay in their annex building (1/2 block away) right next to Termini. We could have stayed in Luciani, but we'43 glad we stayed in the other building- it was so quiet, and the bed was really comfortable. The room was facing the interior of the building, so it was really quiet. The wifi was much better in the annex building than in the hotel itself. Breakfast was by far the best continental we had in Italy. They were very helpful at the front desk with directions, storing luggage, etc. The only drawback of the hotel is the homeless people in the area. No one ever bothered us here though, so for price and proximity to public transit it was definitely worth it for us!

Spartan hotel in Rome
Decent room and service. Only gripe was that they claimed a breakfast buffet but there was no breakfast buffet. It was more like a glorified continental breakfast. The expresso cappuccino machine however was superb. convenient walking distance from termini station; a major public transportation hub. A bad neighborhood. the restaurant next door called "Mangrovia" deserves five stars however as well as various cafes that offered pizza slices and sandwiches.

Ok stay
Decent place that was clean but dated. It's super close to the train station but a far walk to the central part of Rome. At least one mile walk to the Spanish steps colloseum etc. good price for the value though. Staff was friendly and spoke perfect English which was helpful.

Value and convenience - happy I booked this one!
I needed a place to leave my luggage at and to take a shower and a nap when I was not out and about. I found the personal bathroom/shower to be a big plus. The room was a bit small, but for 1 person it was more than sufficient. Some people wrote reviews about the stairs and lack of elevators. As I was travelling light it was absolutely no problem for me. And even if I had a suitcase, it is only 2 flights of stairs. The breakfast was less than impressive, but at the price of 1.50 EUR for a real cafe & cornetto right down the street that did not bother me at all. Internet is free and for the whole stay. Good connectivity up in the rooms. The staff was very helpful and courteous, which is not something you can easily expect in Rome, but is easily found here. Very big plus. Those guys WILL make your life easier. The location is more than perfect. I have spent lots of time in Rome, including an year during which I lived there, and can easily say that this was my most convenient stay so far. The hotel is close to everything and you can even walk back to it from any late night event or day visit to a tourist attraction. I would definitely recommend the place to anyone who is also a solo traveler and would like a good balance between price, quality, and convenience.
