Very pleasant and helpful staff, (spoke English, which was a great help to us two language-challenged travellers). Front desk printed our boarding passes and tour vouchers, called for taxis which both arrived within 5 minutes of being summoned. Lovely, warm reception and public areas, outstanding wall art, rooms named for influential women. Room was attractive and comfortable, bathroom clean, good water pressure at sink and shower, lovely linen towels. Breakfast cappuccino made to order, wide variety of pastries, hard boiled eggs and some (minimal) fresh fruit and yogurt. Only stayed two nights and two busy days which prevented us from enjoying what looked like a lovely bar and dining area.

Cozy hotel in Florence
Super-cozy family hotel! Walking distance from everything in Florence. Good accommodations and breakfast. The staff is very friendly and helpful, make me fell comfortable and safe. I visited Florence with my son, and we had a great time there. I do recommend this familiar hotel! Thanks, Sara!

Impressive!
Location: The hotel is an easy five minutes' walk from the main train station, and just two blocks from the river, where we often walked along to enjoy the sunset and the night view. Great eateries and furniture shops are nearby. With around 15 minutes' walk we could get to the historical centre (or the more touristry area). Room: We got a double room on the first floor. Don't be mistaken by the traditional decor - everything ranging from the water supply and the AC works great. Great sleep at night, despite the sound of the rubbish truck, which we guess is something inevitable in Florence. What's so special is a book prepared with great meticulation in each room, with detailed introduction of the hotel, the room and the city. As a woman myself I'm impressed and moved by the idea that each room is named with a remarkable woman. Ours is the owner's grandmother who overcame so many troubles with courage. This is truly touching and makes my stay here even more worthwhile with a true local Florentine story. Others: The woman at the reception (sorry I have yet to ask for her name) was so kind and familiar with the booking - she knew our name once we arrived as we were the only new couple staying there, others either staying in families or coming again. She eagerly recommended a lot of great places for eating amd sightseeing, even she still hadn't got her lunch - that was about 2 or 3pm! She also offered to provide us the breakfast even we were extremely late.

great hotel
We stayed here for two nights in July. It is a small unique hotel. The room we had was very clean and spacious with an attached bathroom. There was good air conditioning, clean towels and linen and a convenient mini fridge with basic drink options. The owners were very nice and also very helpful with directions etc. The neighborhood has plenty of restaurants (indian/japanese/italian etc.) that are open late. The breakfast room was really pretty with a good amount of food options. Great find for the price!
