Very Good8.0
Would definitely recommend...
With so many hotels, good and not so good, hotels to choose from in Rome, I definitely lucked out on this one. Sometimes the difference in a 3 star and 4 star is in the details. Hotel Vigilio certainly pays attention to the details. Friendly, informative and helpful staff, wonderful buffet breakfast, exquisite linens and a few toiletries thrown in. My room was spacious and immaculately clean. I have no complaints. The price was more than reasonable for the hotel, location and service.

Nice value, haopy and satisfied
The only, complaint really was the hotel elevator is too small if you have more than 2 bags.

Lackluster hotel
Hotel staff not overly friendly. Seemed annoyed when you asked for assistance in calling a cab or other directions. Check in was nice as they brought all of our luggage to our room. Not much else I liked about this hotel. Wifi is spotty and unreliable. Breakfast was limited (but free). The hotel room itself lacked any tolietries (except a shower cap), pillows were thin as a pancake (did ask for a second pillow), double bed is two twin beds pushed together so it sinks in the middle and the bathroom shower never fully closed nor did it have any rack to store your shampoo etc. Walls are very thin - you can hear every cough and noise from the people next to you. This hotel is about a 25-30 minute walk from the Termini station. The other strange thing is the hotel key has to be turned in when you leave the hotel. It's a weighted key not like a normal hotel key.

Mean staff
Paid for our 2 nights well in advance. Upon check in we were told they over booked and were going to have to change rooms after 1 night. I was quite upset and said we were only there 2 nights and didn't want to be bothered with having to move rooms. Desk guy got belligerent, said it was not his fault, was pacing the floor..etc. Later they said we could stay in our upgraded room both nights for 15 euro more. No one was friendly, despite tipping. Breakfast was good.Location great.
