We were happy with it
This hotel for the price was just what we needed for 72 hours in Rome. There is no romance at the front desk; you check in, you go up to your room. No frills. But that's fine honestly. The room was really spacious and we had a nice view. It was clean too. My husband got to do some of his laundry and had plenty of space to hang dry everything between the bathroom and bedroom. The water pressure for the shower was INSANE! And the water makes your hair super shiny -- definite plus. This is walking distance to the Termini which we loved; we took transit from there a few times to get to various sites and took the train from the airport to the Termini which made our walk to the hotel not too bad. We walked to the Trevi fountain from the hotel and many restaurants around. It felt safe (enough) and it was functional overall. Would check out another hotel next time just because but I do recommend this hotel. We left our bags the day we checked out and that was nice too not having to lug our baggage around the city before our flight. I know many hotels do that but that was just another plus worth mentioning.

great place to stay
it was a great experience. hotel was right near all train stations. the staff was helpful and if you don’t want to take taxis, buses or trains from here it’s close enough to everything that you can walk everywhere and discover rome as you head on your destination.

Only issue was the air conditioning was not working so it got quite hot in the room. Front desk said it was not yet turned on for the season.

Worth the Price You Pay
This hotel was just average. It wasn't great but it wasn't bad, either. Check-in was easy. A very nice elder gentleman helped us with our bags up to our room. The room looks a bit bigger in the pics but it was a decent sized room comparable to those across Europe and there was a cute tiny terrace off the room. If you like fluffy pillows, bring your own. Also common in Europe. It is an older hotel that could use a bit of an update but has a certain charm. I found the front desk staff a bit aloof but still helpful. The bar area looks like something from a different era. Very cool! I had to change rooms the second night because there was a terrible sewage type smell in my room--more Venice than Rome but they were very good about the change. My mom was in a different room and her phone was not working. I let the guy at the front desk know and he said someone would be coming up. We waited for a few hours and no one ever showed. It got taken care of the next day, though. The neighborhood is safe. It's not that close to the Coliseum but close enough to walk if you like to walk and CAN walk. There is a Hop On Hop Off bus stop very close by, too. There is a cute restaurant a few feet away. The food was good and the staff was great. So, check it out if you are tired and just want to fall in somewhere. The description of the hotel says room service but there is no actual room service menu. They will bring you breakfast items and maybe a sandwich. The price is great for what you get.
