Good well located hotel in Milan
This is the second time I have stayed here. It has an old world luxury feel to it. The hotel is ideally located to the central train station (a few minute walk). We did see some folks sleeping on the street nearby. The front desk stays open late (but not all night). Breakfast is quite extensive with hard boiled eggs, meat and cheese and delicious (to order) coffee. There is an elevator.

Auriga Hotel, Milan
shabby and dirty with grumpy service
i was given a room that the mgmt knew had a very wet rug (broadloom) outside the bathroom. when i dropped my bag off, and on my way out, i was asked how the room was. i said 'fine'. when i returned and went to have a shower, i realized the carpet was all wet. i went to complain. they said 'we asked you how the room was'. i said how would i know with shoes on that the carpet was all wet. they grudgingly gave me another room. this is a hotel that should either have a gut reno or close.

Close to central but that's it
Staff was rude at check in and not very helpful. Rooms outdated and small.
