Had a wonderful stay for 2 days 2 nights and 2 other families joined us for a one night stay.People of the hotel were absolutely lovely.Food was great. But the best part was on our last night we stayed in Bar area till about 4-5am.Nobody around but us 3 brothers drinking and the night porter Ryan. What a lad.Took care of us with drinks and sat down with us told us his story and we all had a great time. That lad at 4 am got up and went and made 3 drunk guys sandwiches and by golly were they more than appreciated at that time of the morning.Did`nt charge us or anything for em.This young lad previously worked on the fishing boats and said he is moving to Vancouver with his girlfriend for couple of years and I know from me and the lads we wish him all the best.Salt of the Earth person and will be a sad loss to West Cork and the Celtic Ross.Made our stay there brilliant. Thanks Ryan ,All the best,Will

Great place, poor breakfast
The place is beautiful and rooms are good but the food was very disappointing. Breakfast seems to have been made from the night before and heated up.

We appreciated the hotel
Celtic Ross Hotel is next to the causeway on the main road just outside the town of Rosscarbery. The hotel's arrival must have been good news for the area, since stones were laid in the entrance by two different Taioseachs (a foundation stone and a completion stone.) We stayed over a Saturday night on our way from West Cork to Drogheda. Our stay coincided with a wedding reception, so we were able to sit in the bar and watch the festivities. The bar has a good coffee and cake service as well as the usual wide range of alcoholic drinks. We appreciated the service - from the welcome at reception to the relaxing time in the bar and the good evening meal and breakfast. I would go back there again.

You are there for the scenery.
The surrounding scenery is beautiful and tranquil but be prepared to drive to get to anything. The evening staff was a little less customer service oriented than the morning staff it seemed. The hotel is clean, but the concerns we had with the hotel was it stayed very warm, too warm, in our room even with the radiator off and the window open. Second, the restaurant on site had VERY slow service for dinner. Don't be in a hurry.
