Hotel receptionclosed on weekend - room uncleaned
We booked the hotel on Saturday for a Sunday night stay before travelling into the Alps. We did not realize that the hotel reception was closed on Sundays and probably Saturdays as well so they did not get our reservation from Arriving late at night, the hotel did not have our info, but the operator gave us a room. Problem was that the room was not cleaned (pile of used towels on the floor, beds used and unmade). The TV cable was not working (the cable was too loose for a signal). No wifi. What sort of hotel is closed on the weekends?

good for family
300m from the famous Eglise de Brou, this is a decent hotel. Only snag: no air conditioning, therefore It was hot in the rooms with temperatures around 30 deg C outside. There is a supermarket 300m away at the end of the street, good to buy what you need for dinner and breakfast, and save money. The room has a small kitchen area with microwave and hobs, as well as kettle and coffee maker (bring your own though).

Disappointing and not recommended
We were very disappointed with this accommodation. When we pulled up into the car park, there were a number of people sat outside on the kerb, drinking, smoking and talking loudly, which didn't give us a great first impression. The business is located on what seems to be an enterprise park of sorts. There was one employee working in the office who checked us in and ran us through the key procedure, as the building is not staffed 24 hours. We went up to our room on the first floor and were greeted with a very sparse and tired looking room with plastic chairs and minimal furniture. The air conditioning was faulty and not working, which made the whole place very uncomfortable in the heat of that day. There was a single desktop fan for the whole apartment. The balcony was full of cigarette butts and the kitchen was a little grubby, despite the strict instructions to leave it otherwise. There were also plenty of inhabited cobwebs around the place. The people outside turned out to be other residents and they stayed outside, propping open the secure front door, until the early hours. The next morning, we had breakfast downstairs and this was, at least, a decent affair with a helpful member of staff and a decent range of food and drink. Thankfully, we were only there for one night, as a stopover on our way to Italy, and we were delighted to leave as quickly as we could.

Simple, well equipped easy stop in a lovely town
En route to Italy and wanted somewhere near to, but not on the Autoroute. This hotel came up as about half way. A bit long day from either end but Great position - close to a supermarket fuel stop too! The reception was closed on our arrival (after 10pm) but the guardien helped out. Look for an access code in your confirmation - this lets you into a post box at the entrance. In there, you find an envelope in your name with your access fob for the front door and the door card and room number. Only 2 levels, but an elevator is available opposite the front entrance door. The Hotel is basic in approach, but the room had twin beds and a kitchenette. Good size fridge - great for cooling those in journey picnic items and drinks etc. Quiet, bright and very comfortable sleep. Bathroom simple but complete. Shower, washbasin and loo. I expect to redo this trip and will definitely try to re-book this hotel.
