11 Cadogan Gardens, London
Great location, and better-sized room than is typical in South Kensington/Sloane Square, but the common areas of the hotel are VERY dark: dark paint on the walls, dark wood, and just generally gloomy with little outdoor natural light coming in. Our room had lovely windows, but an interior view of rooftops and chimneys. The staff seemed well-meaning, but fairly inept at making us feel comfortable and so we had no desire to linger in the common areas at all & never ate at the hotel because it wasn't inviting. Also, our 1st morning after arriving, the maid entered our room after only 1 knock and it was early. Not the best 1st impression. So, my advice is unless you're visiting in the Spring & Summer and don't mind the dark decor, you can find a better hotel w/a nicer, happier vibe.

3 star service, 5 star accommodations
My stay at this hotel was not what I expected from a 5-star hotel. I was woken up to hammering at 9 am, I asked for a car to the train station that could fit four people and a lot of bags (aka a van) I was greeted at 4 am the morning I was checking out with a taxi cab, and when I was presented with the final bill they tried to get me to pay for the room again, as I had prepaid it. Would I stay there again? I'm not sure, I loved the location, and the hotel room was nice.

Boutique gem - great value for money
A lovely place in a great neighborhood. Easy access to tourist sites, but practical for business as well. Service is top-notch and thoroughly cordial, breakfasts are fabulous, and the rooms are very comfortable. A boutique gem that’s a great value as well!
