Looks like it was renovated 10 years ago, poorly maintained. Staff was nice but place better suited for teenage Spring Breaker’s than adults.
When I arrived I waited almost 3 hours for my suite. When she gave me the key as i walked in my suite the housekeeper was not even finished and was in the middle of still cleaning . I felt very uncomfortable and embarrassed. On top of it all it wasn’t even the One Bdrm suite that I requested and paid for. Housekeeper did call the front and said they would be right up but never showed. I was already exhausted from carrying all my luggage that I just settled.
Bought an extra night so I can do early check in at $300+ a night. Never the less got the run around for over 2 hours till they finally gave me a room with running toilet noise.
Don’t stay in building 3 no hot water & the tv sucks, u can’t adjust your a/c yourself; we booked one thg n got another so they upgraded us to bldng one which was better- after two days of sleeping in a horrible room. The restaurant was never open, no coffee even.
Started the stay with another guest being checked into our room, given keys and entering our room at 1:00 in the morning waking us from a sound sleep! Let me tell you nothing is scarier then that! Management basically did nothing but apologize and then we topped it off the next day with water coming through the ceiling to flooding our bathroom! There was no room service, never had clean towels available and you have to go request toilet paper at the front desk if you run out! Horrible customer service. One positive is the location is close to the beach and there is a parking garage nearby.
This place is horrible! They refused to store our bags and forced us to check in 5 hours late, then gave us the wrong room, with only one bed, when we reserved a 2 bed suite. The entire lobby was full of angry and unhappy people. Both front desk agents didn’t care about customer service. They have us blankets and said we could sleep on the floor until the next day when they’d have the correct room, of course the next day comes and they said they didn’t have the correct room and we could either leave or stay with 1 bed and sleep on floor. People ran out of toiletries, had broken pipes, door locks, they never had rooms ready at 3pm and the property was a mess. The manager was never on site and the customer service was terrible. I am disputing this entire transaction and still trying to get money back. They then after we checked out charged me an additional $500 and kept the $100 deposit with no explanation. These people are criminals. I contacted and spent countless hours on the phone with hotels.com who tried to help but the hotel never once answered their calls. Stay away!
Overall the hotel was good: free Happy Hour from 6p-7p, friendly staff, location. The caliber of people staying here is questionable, however. Late night loud music (as late as 4:30am), loud profanity between rooms, women yelling to speak over each other at late hours. There was a shortage of staff to enforce quiet hours. The staff were great but there weren’t enough- always long lines in the lobby. No hair dryer in the room, no hand towels, no extra toilet paper. I promptly emailed these issues and was told they’d be addressed, but they weren’t. There was another group complaining to Gabriela while I was waiting in line for toilet paper and towels. This is clearly an upper management problem, not the staff employees. The location and close proximity to south beach were great, but for an extra $50/ night we could’ve stayed right on the beach. If it hadn’t been for poor management I would stay here again.
The only problem was first night we didn’t have hot water and the room ph not working. Other than that excellent. Other issue was the poor cleanliness in the elevator. The rug very dirty.
Do one ever answered the front desk when called from room and online. No way to contact the front desk for any issues. Shower water drained onto floor with no floor mat available in the room. Window was broken and all outside noise was coming in. Try another hotel if you want any sleep
Hotel is not a 4 star hotel. The hotel was very ghetto and i felt uncomfortable. The room was very out dated
