Great little town
The town is quite nice, although the hotel is a bit old. With that said, it is very clean and retains its character. Dungarvan is a very typical Irish seaside village, and shouldn't be missed if one is traveling between Cork and Dublin

Great location, rotten hotel.
Noisy and uncomfortable with an unfriendly staff member telling me I can't drink a take away coffee because it wasn't bought on premises. If the coffee was good there I'd have bought it.

Last day dissapointment
We enjoyed our stay and found the staff very good until the day we left. We were leaving on Monday morning at 7.30 to drive to Dublin for our flight. We went down for breakfast at 7am but found the dining room closed after the night porter made a few phone calls he said she is nearly here. This was the waitress no one else. She arrived at 7.20 saying it was the new night porters fault because he should have opened the kitchen and turned things on. But if she arrived at 7.20 and no one else was there how was she going to serve us breakfast at 7am. We had to rush a cup of tea and cereals and toast and we didn't leave the hotel till 7.45 without a cooked breakfast. A very disappointing end to what had been an enjoyable few days. We heard someone else arrive about 7.30 if it was the chef then I don't know what time the cooked breakfast would have been available certainly not at the time it was stated on the menus ie: 7am...........
