Historical house.
Very good location in historical district of Indianapolis. (Hope it is preserved.) The turn of the century house, full of antiques, was spotless. Although the decor is freshly painted over original timber. Delightful host. Breakfast not to my liking - too sweet. (Cakes, sweet bread, etc.) A smaller, fresher breakfast would be better, cooked eggs?

Pleasant and Peaceful!!!
The staff was really nice and helpful however house needs to be updated and deep cleaned. I love the privacy and secluded area. Also, near restaurants downtown

The guests who were not welcomed!
My first huge complaint is that when I go to a Bed and Breakfast I expect a full breakfast not a continental breakfast that I could get at any local hotel. The staff was not knowledgeable about the building as they told us and all of the other guests that Ulysses S Grant had lived in the home and how his four children would run an play hide and seek under the stair case. The fact is he died before this building was even built. Then there was a problem with parking as the staff lady had parked taking up two of the four back parking places. Her daughter who was introduced as an inn keeper in training and an assistant manager told a guest he could park on the street. When the inn keeper came out to move her vehicle after being told by a man who seemed to be in charge but not on site she squealed her tires down the alley came back around a squealed them again then parked in the drive slamming her car door. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!

Neat Place to Stay
Great stay but the Willow room had very poor central air. The room was very warm and stuffy. The staff was great! The carpet areas need some TLC leading in from the entry ways. Overall, would definitely stay again.
