Good Value and Location
Decent hotel with basic amenities. Nice staff. Good location for walking to the upscale Paseo de la Reforma avenue, the historic district, or the central downtown area. If you do not want to walk, or need to go further out, there is a subway entrance a half block from the hotel, as well as buses and cabs in the immediate area. Plenty of food choices abound in the area, from street vendors to nice restaurant. I had a good dinner one evening at the hotel's restaurant.

Second Mexican Vacation
Very good location, subway station just a few feet away, and very easy to get to the Zocalo and Historical sites. The worst con of this hotel is the lack of Air Conditioning or even a fan. Very noisy in the inside rooms as you must keep the windows open and other vacationers can be loud. Room size was fine, bathroom good, WIFI very good and hotel is kept clean and tidy.

A Great Bargain
A great bargain! Very comfortable beds and clean rooms/hallways. Hot water at all hours for bathing. Dining room on ground floor has really good breakfast buffet, efficient table service, and good ice cream. Very safe, with in-room security box for valuables. Friendly and efficient staff. (I do not know if the staff speaks English well, although I assume so.) Close to subway (end of block, south)and rapid-transit bus (1 block north), banks (HSBC and Banamex); easy walk to Alameda (central park) and downtown.

Just an OK hotel
First the good: the room was clean and was cleaned daily by the maid. The price was unbeatable and the location was within walking distance (if you don't mind walking a little bit) of many of the major attractions. Now the not-so-good: I became very sick during our stay in Mexico City and had a problem with the toilet. When we asked for the plunger, the maid became angry with us and said that it was our fault and then angrily called for someone else to come help us. HOWEVER, the guy who came up to help us was SO friendly and helpful and put us at ease. My husband took our laundry to the front desk and forgot to ask for prices. We had the equivalent of 1 large load of laundry or 2 small loads. Well they charge you per item (that means every sock and pair of underwear, etc) and it was the highest price I have seen for laundry (including my two years working at a high-end dry cleaner in the US). What?!? That is robbery! Get your laundry done somewhere else. The room was a turquoise, 1980s style. The room was cleaned everyday, but we're not sure if they ever changed the sheets. The pillowcase was clean, but there was still a little bit of the pillow that stuck out of the side and I'm not sure if that pillow has ever been washed because it was pretty dirty. The location of the hotel is close to downtown, but about 1-2 blocks outside of the nicer part of town. Every night there were about 6 “street walkers” standing on the sidewalk around the hotel (it's legal in Mexico City).
