More like a 2-star lodge, comparable to Motel 8
My family and I were disappointed with our stay here in early June. First and foremost, the pub was closed during our stay, which we were not informed about prior to our arrival at the hotel. This would have changed our decision to stay here had we known this information in advance. Secondly, as now there are no other common area to relax in, we asked the staff if we are able to sit in the back patio and enjoy the scenery. However, we were told that we could not because this patio was a part of the pub. Third, we were unable to access any channels on our TV, then when we tried to shut it off, the TV went into standby mode and would NOT turn off the entire night. This gave off an ambient light from the TV which caused a disruption in our sleep. Fourth, one of the bath towels was dirty with visible dark streaks. For a 3-star hotel, none of this should be acceptable. We tried communicating with the hotel after our stay, but our concerns were ignored.

Filthy and worn out bed and air-conditioner
Filthy and worn out bed and air-conditioner. we looked at the same trash on the carpeted stairway and hallway leading to the rooms for three days. Never vacuumed at all. The air conditioner died the third day middle of night. Never did work really as it is too small for room. The bed has one big sunken hole in it for two people to fall into. Look close and the cleaning is very poor. Wife is a chef and said if it is this dirty in this part of hotel, why would you eat in their restaurant; imagine what their kitchen looks like. yuck.

Beautiful little inn with friendly staff and aconvenient location just outside of Banff Park. We enjoyed visiting the pub located adjacent to the inn - excellent Guinness.

Charming and comfortable.
Cookies in the room were a nice treat. The setup for coffee and tea on a counter with bar sink was very convenient. Comfortable bed and vintage decorating. Though having an antique dresser in closet meant less room for suitcase.
