Boulcott Suites, Wellington
Short one night stay in Wellington. Didn’t have time to do much. However, 26 days on South Island was fantastic.

It was ok. The fan kicks off at 9pm. The dishes had to be cleaned before we used them since they were dirty from the last guests. One side of the bed was horrible. Housekeeping never came at the same time. One day it was around 12:30, next day 2:30. By the last day it was after 4:00pm.

Very Good8.0
Rude front desk staff, great otherwise!
The front desk receptionists were unfriendly at best, but pretty rude at points. It left a terrible first impression, but forgot about it when we got to the room, which was nice and clean. It had a washer dryer in it which was amazing for our long trip. The rooms are separated into 2 buildings that didn’t connect so it made transporting luggage to and from the car a hassle. But that was fine. It’s in a great area—not on the really busy street with all of the loud bars, but across the street from a few bars that are open late. It’s walking distance to a lot of shopping, restaurants, and activities. I had a great time and forgot all about the terrible service until the next morning when we checked out and the guy was even more rude than the day before! I’ll try another hotel next time, but you won’t go wrong with this one, just ignore the attitude sitting behind the front desk.

Great location.
Just a quick day in Wellington before catching the ferry. Boulcott is well positioned to walk to most things in the central district. Staff was very helpful with plans, luggage, and ordering a taxi to the ferry terminal.

Simply fantastic!
This apartment hotel is fantastic. A very nice woman greated us at reception when we arrived early in the morning after our flight home was cancelled. She stored our luggage and facilitated to get the room ready as quickly as possible. The appartment is very clean, beautifully appointed and furnished in a contemporary. The kitchen is stocked with all necessary utensils and dishes. In our unit all these items were very well maintained. We had a small balcony with a nice view of a church and the local hills. There is a steep staircase taking you right up to the Victoria University near by. The location is right in the middle of City Life but it was quite. You can walk everywhere from there. This place is also perfect for a longer stay. We would definitly stay here again. The only small improvement I can think of is to add a soap shelve in the shower and maybe a hook but the bathroom is great otherwise and the laundry and dryer is so handy. One tip though: be aware that electric dryers take a long time to dry clothing.
