Locked up/lights off - need refund.
I was on hold for an hour with Hotels dot com awaiting for a refund for this hotel. I was literally parked in front of the hotel an hour ahead of check-in time of 9PM on the website and the place was completely closed. Lights out, locked up, chairs on tables, abandoned. The customer service rep had me on hold while they called every number at the hotel, and then passed me off to another representative who put me on hold for another 30 minutes while they called the hotel over and over. Meanwhile, I'm sitting on a table in front of the hotel listening to the phone ring inside an abandoned location.

Needed a place to spend the night after working a day in Bury. Location was good but mostly a very average hotel. I've had better in the same area.

Lovely pub/hotel/food/staff.
Very nice country pub with excellent home cooked food. Friendly staff. Spacious and spotlessly clean rooms. Fair size car park without height restrictions. Would 100% recommend.

Two night stay for work...
Very good, clean, comfortable. Very friendly management & staff, two enjoyable evenings spent in the bar with lots of friendly banter. Bit pricey for a pub/hotel but that seems to be the going rate so no real issue. Would certainly stay again should the need arise...
