Locked up/lights off - need refund.
I was on hold for an hour with Hotels dot com awaiting for a refund for this hotel. I was literally parked in front of the hotel an hour ahead of check-in time of 9PM on the website and the place was completely closed. Lights out, locked up, chairs on tables, abandoned. The customer service rep had me on hold while they called every number at the hotel, and then passed me off to another representative who put me on hold for another 30 minutes while they called the hotel over and over. Meanwhile, I'm sitting on a table in front of the hotel listening to the phone ring inside an abandoned location.

Very average
Needed a place to spend the night after working a day in Bury. Location was good but mostly a very average hotel. I've had better in the same area.

Very good
Staff were very friendly and polite. Food was excellent, we had dinner and breakfast! It was VERY hot in the room so maybe investing in some fans on site would be good as we opened our door to get a bit of air and the room became fly central. 10am checkout was a little tough for us as we attended a wedding the night before but I'm sure we left at quaternary past and it was OK so we were very pleased about the that. I would most definitely stay again but if it is a summer like this one I'll bring a fan! Oh the room does have a fridge so we could keep our drinks cold which was excellent and we were able to borrow an iron so very handy if you're not so organised like us :)

Just what we wanted as we had the dog with us
Looked for a dog friendly accommodation & this was excellent. We chose the hottest days of the year to stay but we were able to sleep with the door open & the dog on a long lead so he could wander in & out through the night. (The rooms are in out buildings just behind the pub). Lovely breakfast too!
