About The Fitzwilliam Hotel Belfast, Belfast

Chic, cozy hotel and restaurant near Donegall Square

Minutes from City Hall

The Fitzwilliam Hotel Belfast is less than 5 minutes' walk from Donegall Square, site of the imposing City Hall and the Visit Belfast Welcome Center, and 3 minutes from Great Victoria Street Train Station. Belfast International Airport is a 30-minute drive.

Titanic origins

Hop-on-hop-off bus trips run from City Hall to key sights like Titanic Quarter, where the doomed ship was built, and the Falls and Shankhill Roads with powerful murals from the Troubles. Almost at your doorstep is the opulent Victorian "gin palace" of the Crown Liquor Saloon.

Stylish public spaces

With soft leather sofas and low lighting in the lounge, plus blond wood, fuchsia chairs, and banquette booths in the award-winning restaurant, the Fitzwilliam balances urban chic with coziness. The service reflects this, with staff highly praised for their friendliness and charm.

A splash of style

All 130 rooms and suites come with free WiFi and flat-screen TVs, plus MP3-compatible music systems and Egyptian cotton bedding. Bathrooms offer showers and separate bathtubs, and deluxe rooms feature panoramic views over Belfast to the countryside beyond.

Great place
It was a nice place to stay, close to a lot of great restaurants, bars, and shopping. Staffs was very friendly and very helpful. They gave us tips and ideas on what activities we should do and booked everything for us.

This was by far one of the best places I have ever stayed. Bad weather made for a lot of questions and all the information we could have needed was found out for us. Very friendly people!

Excellent hotel
Fantastic hotel. Location is perfect. Hotel is exceptional. Turn down service was lovely each night. Bedroom and bathroom clean and up to standard with a 5 star hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. I could not say one bad thing about this hotel. They even extended our booking on request. Thank you - I will recommend this hotel to others.

Nice
Very nice hotel. Liam the concierge tried to help with everything. Only problem we had was a broken treadmill. They should not advertise as 24 hour fitness....with one treadmill and two more machines...and the treadmill broken....we do pick hotels based on fitness rooms because we spend 40-60 nights a year in hotels and it's important to know what you get. The hotel itself was very nice. Great bedding.

Beautiful room/helpful, friendly, WONDERFUL staff!
This is one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had in my entire life. The Fitzwilliam & its entire staff, front desk, bell hops, bar staff, and cleaning crew treated us SO WONDERFULLY! Everyone was so exceptionally polite, friendly, helpful, and just made us feel so welcome and warm. I have never had such lovely conversations and interactions with the staff of a hotel, both providing informational and interesting anecdotes, chatting with us but keeping the interactions professional but yet still as though we were friends, it was a delicate, yet perfectly achieved balance. The room itself was absolutely stunning and decoration wise very much my taste to boot. The bar was fantastic with a great assortment of tasty cocktails. The wine by the glass list could be a wee bit better, but I am assuming I could've overcome this small hurdle had I just gotten a bottle. I am just picky and love Pinot Noir but the wine I did have was still lovely. When you book a fancy luxury hotel, you would expect to be treated well, but oddly, many times when I have booked other hotels just as nice as this one, we are treated like trash, I'm assuming because we are young and don't look like we are bleeding money, and just look like your everyday 30 year olds. But wow did I feel welcome and wonderful here. I genuinely want to go back to Belfast almost just to be able to stay here again. Thank you to the staff, keep doing what you're doing, we love it!! :)
