Babbacombe Hall, Torquay
Great weekend in Torquay.
Lovely family run hotel with great hosts, comfortable clean room. lovely breakfast every morning, would recommend. A short walk to Model village and Bygone museum, both great attractions, also not far from bus stop to get to Torquay beach or Paignton, £5 for a day ticket and you can hop on any Stagecoach bus, good value...We were recommended a Greek/Turkish restaurant called Ephesus which was superb, we then saw Grease at the Princess theatre,a great night, next door is the Conservative club which had a Glam rock night, that was also fun. We had fab weather, which was great. A big thanks to young Alex at hotel who did a great job of cleaning our car( not part of the service though) would recommend Babbacombe hall for a nice break...

Tv can be larger and may works better together with remote control. The rest of things are just fine. We enjoyed our stay.

it was one of the best stays we have ever had we could not fault the hotel but the sea-gulls do start a little early a better host I challenge anyone to better glynn he was very attentive and a continual supply of local information when asked alongside his witty remarks and his wonderful wife is a wizard in the kitchen breakfast was superb it was so good I am trying to book another stay there already SUPERB

Nice, but not like pictures.
NEGATIVES: photos are misleading, rooms were much smaller than I expected Pool was out of commision. Number 1 reason I booked this hotel was because of the lovely looking pool area. Unfortunately during my stay the pool was too dirty to swim in. POSITIVES: Staff very nice. Everything except the pool was spotless! Lastly.... I also dont think there was a/c but that may be my fault for not checking. Bed was very comfy

A Delight in Devon.
Top marks for genuine friendliness and service. It didn't seem as if it was just to get you back again but it appears to be their nature. A bright comfortable room with a good sized balcony. The breakfast was very good and served by the most delightful young lady. The hotel seems a little old fashioned but that for many would add to its charm. It was certainly very clean and comfortable. As some might prefer a shower to a bath it would be good to arrange to have the existing shower hose fixeable above head height and have the requisite shower curtain fitted. This to give the option of bath or hands free shower. The location in Torquay with easy access to many lovely Devon places is excellent. We would certainly go again
