Would never stay here again
The front desk service was the worst I have experienced in my last 40 hotels! The staff seemed very reluctant to have to talk to guests and most of the time could not answer my questions about their own hotel. Check-in took almost an hour due to a long line of people from a cancelled airline flight. There were staff people wandering around the lobby who could have helped guests who already had reservations, but they ignored us and made us wait for the slower check-in process. Very inefficient.

Wonderful staff BUT Early Morning Construction
The staff was wonderful and the location was just perfect for the event I attended. However, they are in the process of renovations. I was in a lovely, freshly done room, but was woken by LOUD CONSTANT DRILLING of power tools early on a Saturday morning on the same floor just a couple of doors down! Shocking! I called the front desk several times. I finally left my room in my robe to investigate to find a worker power drilling holes in door jams to hang all the new doors, who spoke no English so did not understand my outrage. (I probably looked pretty scary to him too!) The drilling went on and on. Other guests came out in the hallway upset as well. To the hotel's credit, they did move me to another Clayton Hotel for the same rate and paid for my taxi there, however this meant spending hours of my one, full day, in Dublin packing up all my things, then moving to and checking into another hotel and unpacking again. This ate up the bulk of my day. Again, the management was kind to finally move me but I feel that guests should either not have been situated right next to early-morning week-end construction or that the construction should not have been taking place during those hours at all! I should not have had to pay for the night that I did stay. BE SURE TO CHECK ON CONSTRUCTION BEFORE BOOKING! And ask for a refurbished room.
