Didn’t ever want to leave.
We didn’t ever want to leave. What a great stay. We loved our room, full of architectural interest with high ceilings, period molding and a lovely bay window. The bathroom was modern and adequate in size. But here’s the real treat: being welcomed with great warmth and humor by proprietor, Gareth. He’s a really good cook, too. Great breakfasts. The guy was born to welcome people to Edinburgh, it seems. The weekend host, Kat, was sensational, too. In addition, her communication with us prior to the trip was prompt and very accommodating. Applause for the lovely woman (sorry, I forgot her name) that helps Gareth out with breakfast. So nice, she made us feel like family. We wish all involved with Fraoch House all the good fortune in the world. Thanks for adding to our many reasons to cherish Edinburgh!

Excellent B&B with a great host.
This B&B was in a great location for visiting sites of interest in Edinburgh. The host was very helpful in giving us directions, tips for what to see, calling a taxi, etc. He was also quite accommodating during check-in and with regard to the times he offered breakfast---which were excellent. It was a pleasure chatting with him. The room was large, well equipped, and comfortable.

Great start to our stay in Scotland.....
This B&B was fantastic. Garett was the perfect host and very friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfast was also amazing. The location is great, only a 15-20 min walk into town. Busses also very close. The room we stayed in was very clean and comfortable. Would definitely come back here again and would recommend staying here.

Enjoyable Stay at Fraoch House
Very quiet, clean, and comfortable for my two-night stay. Spacious room with wonderful vintage chaise lounge in a bay window. A bit outside of the core of the tourist zone, but that is a good thing as far as I am concerned. Was well worth the reasonable room rate. The #11 bus stops virtually at the door--Edinburgh has great public transit that puts most US cities to shame. "Fraoch" refers to a beer that's made with heather, if you're curious. The host, Gareth, was very accommodating, for example putting out a grab-and-go breakfast for me since I had to leave at 5 AM to catch my flight home.
