Regente Hotel, Mexico City
Needs to improve. Specially the restaurant
This hotel needs a lot of work. To arrive and not have your room ready and not being offer something in exchange as an apology is sad. The rooms were ok in size. But the fact that at night when you are laying in the bed you get a beam of light in your face is not pleasant. This due to the fact that the curtain is misplaced. You will not find service with a smile in the front desk. And don't even bother going to the restaurant in the hotel. All the china is chipped. Cups, plates, bowls... they served me a spoiled avocado. When I told the waiter his answer was that the one they serve me was the best from the bunch. To top it all. I found a roach on my margarita. The taxi drivers that work with the hotel are uncomfortably pushy. One in particular more than the others will not take a no for an answer. He would take us to souvenirs shops at every stop even when we told him we just wanted to go straight to the place. The recommended restaurants were awful. They should really review who they recommend.

Needs renovation
The restaurant food needs an upgrade and the interior major redo. The street carriage food outside is splendid. The wifi is practically useless. The rooms are very clean, but the bathrooms need a major redo. Lobby Front desk counter - god sakes replace that its worn out! Overall very friendly staff and clean rooms, beds need a topper/padding though.
