Great little hotel near Terminal 21
Our primary focus in booking for this trip was to find an inexpensive hotel close to Terminal 21, a major world class shopping center, which has a very inexpensive food court on the 5th floor. The Key is also a hundred yards from Robinson's Department Store, and the Tops Supermarket in its basement which is open 24 hours. Another bonus is that BTS (Skytrain) and MRT (subway) Asok Stations are adjacent to the Terminal 21 building, so access to roaming Bangkok is convenient. First impression of entrance through an alley was bad, but it is safe and is not really an issue. Rooms are sufficient in size, and include a full sized refrigerator, sink, dishes and cutlery. There is only one elevator but this is adequate for a hotel with only 6 floors and 7 rooms per floor. The room has a built in on-demand water heater, so bath water temperature is not an issue. However, the maximum height of the hand-held shower head is chest-level, so you need to hold the shower hose to shampoo and wash above your chest. For around $5 more per day, a small breakfast buffet is included for two. Front desk service is great. The women are friendly, helpful, and speak English fluently. For around $60 per night including breakfast and inclusive of all taxes and fees, or around $55 without breakfast, it is a pretty good deal given its proximity to Sukhumvit, Terminal 21, and 24-hour shopping and dining. I will stay here again on my next trip.

Convenient and good value for the dollar.
This was my second stay at this hotel during my trip to Bangkok during November and December 2016. Very professional and helpful staff. The location near Terminal 21 and Asoke can't be beat. Restaurants and entertainment are nearby. While there were minor shortcomings regarding the hotel room, the staff and the convenient location made up any shortcomings.

Convenient to most must-see sights
The hotel is a 5-minute walk from BTS Asok and MRT Sukhumvit. The location is great as it is at the conjunction of BTS and MRT lines, so you don’t have to change lines frequently from the airport (one station down from the airport express Makkasan Station), to the city centre (several stations through BTS) or to the Chatuchak market (take the MRT directly). The hotel entrance is hard to find, it locates at an alley beside the main road. The building looks old but inside is refurnished. The corridor is stylish and the room is simply comfortable. There’s a small “kitchen” (around 5’x5’) in the room, with a tall fridge, a table, a sink and eating utensils. It appears to be a gimmick to me only, and I’d prefer them providing me a teeth brush instead. One point to add, a cockroach welcomed me in the toilet. Surprised! For staff friendliness, I expect more smiles from them. They are fairly helpful and nice. We saw a number of food stores on the road where the hotel locates and near Asok Station, but some of them closed at around midnight. So don’t expect you could have many choices for night snacks. Breakfast will be better. Overall speaking, this is a fairly good hotel with excellent location and reasonable price. Room is comfortable and not hard to find food at night (don’t be too demanding). There’s a shopping mall (terminal 21) and various good restaurants around (Madam Saranair). I would consider visiting it again if I come to Bangkok in the future.

A Great Find!!
What a pleasant surprise! I was very late arriving to check in and they kindly upgraded me which was very much appreciated. The location was superb as all my appointments were at the Westin which was around a 1 minute walk from The Key. Breakfast was included in the room rate and overall it was a fabulous find and great value. I will definitely be back.
