Clayton Hotel Leopardstown, Dublin
Great hotel right in town center!
As an American in Dublin (Leopardstown) for business, I spent 6 nights here. In all, a very comfortable hotel, spacious and comfortable rooms, very nice and guest-laden lobby and bar and restaurant area, great breakfast (full buffet), and with easy access to the tram that takes you to central Dublin. This place is booming business-wise, and this Clayton hotel is right in he middle of it all, convenient walking distance and all. All good. The only minor improvements I would suggest for this hotel is (a) a slightly better ironing board and iron (vs. the tiny half-sized one bolted to the wall) and (b) a better gym, as the current small one is hidden in the basement corner and is quite small for a hotel of this size.

Pay for your room and pay for your car too !
it was a business trip / weekend stay the hotel is a bit isolated and not much around but the luas is handy into dublin the room and bed is very comfortable and quiet the breakfast was a bit disappointing really not much imagination going on there a few overcooked sausages and and the usual help yourself stuff which is mostly dry and overdone when you go to breakfast also having to pay for the parking even though your staying there is a bit cheeky also the staff in the bar could be a bit more attentive and pro active when ordering a drink as their heads are down and they dont seem to be too interesting in serving the paying punter especially when theres a few at the bar , all in all a nice hotel and would stay again

Stay at Clayton
The hotel is wonderful. An excellent location and very friendly staff. One criticism is that the food is quite expensive.

Dated and pricey
It was dated. the hotel seemed to not have the proper ventilation. its in a business area so everything closed by 5. nothing available to do or see around. the luas (tram) was really close but if you are trying to visit dublin it is too far.
