This is max 3 star hotel. No A/C. Dirty carpets. Food ok. Staff not helpful. Don't speak English, reason why I chose an american chain. Only thing perfect is the location. Across from the tram and lots of shops.

The prices are 5 stars ones but the room was not even 2 star standards. Dust on the glass shelves above the dirty fridge , headboard, lights fitting and bathroom make up mirror which looked so old and flaky. Carpet were stained ,black marks on the walls, socket off the wall, air conditioning grill is off the wall and made such a loud noise when put on 2 or 3 and it was manually operated. The kettle was broken so called the reception about it, they came and took the kettle and didn’t replace it. So I called them again they said someone will repair it and they try to blame me for it. They didn’t replace the kettle until a day later I complained about it and then they sent the replacement kettle. We even run out of hand soap I had to tell them about it as the cleaner didn’t fill the dispenser in the morning. The only good thing about it is location quite good. Other than that nothing really. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone as 5 stars hotel. Very dissatisfied and disappointed because when I booked it I looked at the name HOLIDAY INN such a reputable company worldwide and I have stayed in their hotels in the UAE before and it was so good. However this one I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Istanbul City Holiday Inn
Hotel was fine. We only sleep there do not hang around pool or bar/restaurant. We believe maid service could improve a little. They did not see dirty glasses and did not replace. Also, room was non smoking but maybe you could smoke there in the past and the smell of tobacco seems to still be present. The tub seemed a bit too high making it not too easy to get in/out. Towels seemed a little worn out. Location was great.
