Great staff
The employees at the front desk are great here. Very friendly and helpful. The parking lot next door is extremely convenient. I stay here anytime I have to come to Brooklyn for business.

Efficient and hip, with minor service lapses
Overall, a great value for downtown Brooklyn/Boerum Hill. Our room was clean and quiet, though we were disappointed to have an east-facing view of the backs of rowhomes --- this after the front desk had described it as "one of our best." Oh well. She also tantalized my two young sons with promises of fresh-baked cookies put out in the lobby, but in three days, we saw not a single cookie. Then, housekeeping removed our washclothes and bathmat without replacing them. (We made do, but of course I know we could have gotten new ones.) The features that impressed us most were the glassed-in showers with waterfall showerheads and the basement gym, which, for a small hotel is spacious and impressively equipped. The free breakfast served in the lobby cafe is fine, but Nu Hotel should look for a new coffee. Finally, if you stay here, you'll walk past or read about scads of trendy, newish eateries. However, as former residents of Brooklyn Heights, we still think what makes this neighborhood a gustatory standout are the older Middle Eastern restaurants along Atlantic Ave---all of them embarrassingly cheap, completely authentic, and probably food you can't get at home. Good choices would be Yemen Cafe, Waterfall Cafe, Bedouin Tent (the closest to the hotel at Atlantic and Bond), or Fatoosh.

Nice place
Nice place in an interesting location. Will admit parking is a challenge, but I got lucky & found a free parking spot, albeit a block away. Room was nice & very comfortable - I’ll stay there again I’m sure! Very friendly and helpful staff.
