Great location but bad security.
Location of the hotel is fantastic. You can reach this hotel in 2mins by walk from san zaccaria stn. Supermarket is nearby and it takes 10mins and lovely restaurants are just nearby also. The most impressive thing was lift. You don't have to carry your luggage with climbing stairs. Although this hotel has a lot of attractive things, room is small and door lock is not automatic so you always need to pay attention about locking the door after entering your room. Because I got bad experience that once I forgot to lock my room's door in the morning on my third day in here, somebody knock my door and opened without my reply. I closed and locked the door very fast. I informed about this issue to the concierge but staff said they cannot do anything cause they don't know who opened the door, do not have any CCTV on all floors and security guard. I want to share my good and bad experiences in this hotel honestly. I wish all of you who read this feedback have good journey in Venice.

Bad hospitality
In my check in, the front desk told me that i have made a reservation for 2 rooms. Tried to explain that we are one one couple and of . course we didn't make two reservation. Nothing helped me. I paid it for all my reservation for the room in advance because the front desk demanded of me. More than this, they demanded me to pay for the first night for the second room that i didn't make the reservation. Addressing the problem was aggressive and disrespectful. I paid even though I wasn't supposed to, so as not to spoil our vacation. The room is for the back of the building in the first floor. The window of the room is one floor from the kitchen from the another hotel. Very noise early in the morning and the smell no very good.

The hotel also manages some apartments located within 100 feet from the hotel itself. The apartment we took was the Marco Polo. It had two large rooms, a large bathroom (new) a small kitchen and a living/dining room. It was perfect for our group of 4 and a reasonably priced compared to the alternative of taking two hotel rooms. the furnishings are very basic but that was o.k. It was located on the third floor which meant going up and down 60 steps. This was difficult for the senior citizen in the group and also for carrying down our luggage (early in the morning). The hotel staff had brought our luggage up to our room when we checked. In terms of location, it is hard to beat. It is situated within 5 minutes from St-Marks square and close to the main waterway making it easy to take the water buses to the cruise port, the airport and to travel within the city. Also it is easy to carry the luggage from the water bus stops to the hotel (the distance would be 200 to 300 meters).

We did stay here 2 years ago as well and find it in a great location to get to. We landed by plane at Venice airport and took water bus to Marco Polo. Walking distance was short. People at the front desk were great - like Paolo and Carlo - Thank you for all the help. Room was good with great water pressure and hot water was plenty. Cleaning staff did a good job. We just had a little bit of an issue plugging in a coffee machine, but with all the bars around we did not need to make coffee. I guess they are all old buildings with limited power supply and breakers. Breakfast was included and was good. I would stay here again for sure. GREAT LOCATION

Great location!
Really loved the location! We took the Alilaguna shuttle from the airport and had just a short walk to the hotel. The room itself was basic but clean, the shower was nice with great water pressure, TV reception wasn’t great, but we weren’t in the room long enough to be bothered. We had a view of a wall, but again, we were only in the room to sleep, so not too bothered by that. The front desk employees were friendly and helpful with questions regarding good restaurants, etc...and the breakfast was very good with a nice selection of meats, cheeses, danish, croissants, cereal, yogurt and fruits. Very close to San Marco Square, would definitely stay here again.
