Not Bad, but Needs Work
The hotel wasn't too bad, and it did feel historic. Being on Monument Circle meant plenty to do and eat. However saying as much there was a lot to be desired of the hotel. For one thing, the old rooms are very much not soundproof by any means, so you will hear everything in adjacent rooms and in the hallway. Bathrooms were way outdated and the rooms were pretty minimal. Most of the staff was super nice (there was one or two team members not so much), and check in and out was fast and very accommodating. A big issue was one of the rooms we had checked out didn't get cleaned or restocked. Even though I got a decent deal, there are better places to stay around the same price in downtown Indy.

Travel Group
THANK YOU SO MUCH for accommodating my travel group. I came to the Columbia Club for one night with a group of 16 students as we traveled back from an academic competition. The staff were extremely helpful, knowledgable, and warm. They bent over backwards for us. I cannot recommend them highly enough. 10 stars all the way!

Great old club/hotel
It as nice to stay at such a great location in downtown Indianapolis. Room was dated but very comfortable. The carpet was disgusting; after I walked from the bath to bed in my bare feet my feet were brown. Gross! Otherwise a classic place. Front desk was very friendly and helpful.

Historic hotel
Pleasant stay in historic renovated hotel....lots of interesting photos from years past. Felt secure. Staff very helpful. Breakfast in restaurant outstanding. No hot water one morning was quickly resolved. We would go there again.

Excellent4.0 / 5
Stay was very nice and all hotel staff were wonderful. Three issues arose. When attempting to entering the room and hotel staff person came out claiming to have been checking on AC. The room was dark and locked from the inside. This was disconcerting. Later we noted the shower (room 818) did not produce hot water. It was warm at best and the shower itself did not seem to have been cleaned properly. Some hair was found in the corner on the floor. All services were excellent and staff helpful and polite.
