Atrion Hotel, Heraklion
Good6.0
Good location near center of heraklion
The room was small, the bed uncomfortable, but the location great. Included breakfast was a nice bonus, with a good spread of meats and veggies, Greek yogurt with homemade jams or local honey, eggs, and so on. No parking onsite, although we found street parking fairly easily (luck, maybe). This hotel may be a good base for exploring the city on foot, as long as you aren’t too concerned about luxury or comfort.

Great spot
Very friendly and accommodating service. Good room layout. Nice beds and showers. Fantastic breakfast spread! Only negative was cigarette smoke from another room wafting in at 3 am, waking me up

It was a good location; close to city center, yet quiet. Breakfasts were very good.

Great Deal for the Price
We just stayed here one night. It's right by the port so easy to get to after arriving on the ferry. There was nothing spectacular about the hotel but for the money it was a steal. The carpet was stained in some places and the desk shelf in our room was broken, but other than that everything else was nice. The breakfast in the morning was the best we had during our two weeks in Greece. There was more to choose from than one could possibly eat. We didn't do anything in the area around the hotel but grab a quick bite to eat before bed. There is no hotel parking so we did drive around for a while before finding a place we could pay to leave the rental car overnight. It is a very close walk to the Knoles Fortress though, which is super cool to see.
