Hotels are expensive in SLO, so this was a good deal for our two night visit touring the university and doing some fun stuff around town. I wish it had been more up to date, a bit cleaner and, well, just nicer for the price. But it was serviceable and met our basic needs. The check-in was easy and the staff very nice and helpful. It's just an old place in need of a face-lift.

Older motel needing upkeep, but comfortable.
This is a small motel complex which is conveniently located in SLO. However, it is older and somewhat run down, needing some serious upkeep. The small bathroom had no hooks to hang up clothes, the bath had stains either from what looked like old paint or chemical stains. and the bathroom window frame was water damaged with a very poor paint job. On the positive side, the beds were comfortable, There was a good shower, the heater/air conditioner worked well, and the TV & cable worked. Although there is not coffee or breakfast service, there is a good cafe 1/2 block away. Overall, the motel is not a good value for the $225, which is a going rate for area hotels.
