If you like old buildings..but don't arrive late.
Arrived at hotel around 11 pm to find the lobby empty of staff and could not get into room till around midnight. Read a book in lobby till concierge arrived (apologetically). Maybe I should have called to say I would be arriving late. Otherwise, I loved the room, - very clean, and great bed, the lovely old building and the location were great. Parking was compted as a way of making up for difficulty.

Traveling in Style
We loved this boutique style stay. The room was spacious and very luxurious. Loved the decor! The only slight draw back was using the valet in the parking ramp validated by the hotel. We didn't feel we had easy access to our car when we needed it, mostly when trying to leave the city. But this was a very minor thing.

Took us 35 minutes to get to parking garage 2 blocks away due to road closures.

Parking sucks. I would have stay off down town.

OK for non-business travelers
This is an acceptable level hotel; however as a business traveler, it misses the mark considerably. there is no desk and chair for working in the room, this being one of the only hotels in this country I've ever stayed at that lacked this. When the continental breakfast was brought (missing the promised fruit), there was no way to eat this comfortably; had to sit on the bed, which was awkward. I found the neighborhood noisy at night and the blockout blinds were only partially effective at providing a dark environment conducive to sleep. So I would suggest to non-business travelers, if the price is unusually good, this hotel could work well for you. But I would steer business travelers away.
