5 Star Experience
Context: My wife and I were relocating to a new city and decided to stop in Savannah on the way up. We initially chose Andaz given the great reviews and close proximity to the historic district. Experience: We showed up relatively late after a long drive up and were extremely well taken care of from the get-go. The hotel lobby is trendy and cozy while the rooms are nice, comfortable and very well kept. What stood out in particular was the extraordinary service shown to us (and our two medium-large sized dogs) by Cassie, Thaddeus, and the gentlemen working in valet. Prior to this evening, my wife and I have been very fortunate to stay in several top-tier hotels all over the place yet the service I experienced at this property stood out because the employees seemed genuinely nice as opposed to the robotic-like responses/reactions you would receive at other properties. I will 100% come back to this hotel when I’m in Savannah, and will highly recommend to my friends, colleagues, and family. Well Done!

Dirty room
I am genuinely puzzled as to why this hotel is well-rated. Our experience was not great. The moment we walked into the room, it was apparent it hadn't been cleaned. There were crumbs all over the floor, hair all over the bathroom floor and sink (gross), and the bed was rumpled. We called downstairs immediately. They did not offer to move us to a different room, instead saying they would send up housekeeping. The woman who came up assured us management would contact us, but no one ever did, despite me calling the front desk a second time. We booked a loft deluxe at 250 a night, and I expected the room to be clean given the price point. The room itself was in need of an upgrade. The bed was not comfortable and the furniture drab and in need of a steam clean. There was dust everywhere as well. It is situated in a noisy square, so not a great choice if you have early meetings. The bar was just so-so. The drinks were thrown together and they really should have cut off a group of people who were obliterated to the point of being dangerous, not to mention annoying. All in all this was just not a great hotel. There are better places to stay in the area for the same price point. The only positive is there are many places within walking distance.

Great hotel in the perfect location!
My husband and I had a great stay here right after the New Year. I personally loved the modern decor and the setup of the room. We both loved the drinks available in the mini fridge at no extra charge, the location and the fact that we could park our own car in a nice garage very close to the hotel for only $16 a day. We did not get breakfast with our stay, and glad we didn’t because there are so many great restaurants around. You should definitely go to B.Matthews for breakfast, Collin’s Quarters for lunch and Clive’s for dinner. We walked to the breakfast and dinner places, and so glad we did because I felt like I experienced more of Savannah that way.

Bathroom Nasty
I arrived at the hotel at 2:39 pm. Check in is at 4pm. But I didn’t get a room till after 5:30 pm. No one apologize at all. After I got into the room I noticed the bathroom floor around the toilet area was not clean it was nasty and the shower as well. It was still hair in the shower being that this is a pet friendly property I don’t know if it was human hair or animal either way the hair shouldn’t have been there. Next the room was next to the house keepers utility closet and they never closed the door so every time I came or went out of my room door I would have to work my way past the open door let alone look at all the dirty sheets and towels in there and they also left there cleaning cart right next to my room door my entire stay. I will say the room it self is cool if I stay there again I would like the same room but please clean it and close the utility door. Not cool. Room 636
