I really hate to leave a bad review for this place. I’ve stayed here before and just loved it and have even recommended to friends who have also had a good experience. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was amazing, and the environment was great. This time however breakfast was just some grab bars because it was supposedly “shoulder season,” which wasn’t listed on their website and the ski resort is open, so it shouldn’t be shoulder season anymore. That would be one thing, but we arrived and got a fireplace excited for a cozy fire in a cabin. Turns out our wood was soaking wet and wouldn’t light. We spent an hour and a half trying to get it to light and it wouldn’t light. The next morning, after sitting inside all night, it finally lit. When we tried to contact the hotel, no one answered and there was no one in the office. All that for roughly the price of $300. The next morning at checkout when someone was finally in the office when I told him my concerns he wrote 6, for when we tried to find someone to contact, on a piece of paper and that was it. Overall, not a great experience.
