    Avoid at all cost
The place is run down and frankly disgusting. Rooms have had a make over, but the dinning facilities are dated by about 40 years and show it. A bit of money invested back into the maintenance of the resort and dinning area is necessary. Staff are disinterested in your concern. Food is overpriced with an extremely long waiting time. Our room had serious problems including: Bulk cockroaches, missing smoke detectors and smoke detectors without batteries (which the staff laughed about ), a toilet leaking sewage water, a broken shower head, broken lights, telephone which wasn't working , broken chairs and no door handle . The gutters on top of our room were blocked, so on the first night of the stay water flooded into our room. We filled up 2 bins of water before staff addressed the problem. At this point water was through our luggage. Flies were all over the food here and light posts around the place were fixed with sticky tape. Staff were smoking in family areas. When we checked out nothing could be done about our problems because the women behind the counter refused to listen to us. I tried to express our concerns but she showed no emotion. Word of advice would be to dine at musket cove traders cafe , very new and clean with good quality food in a pleasant atomsphere . A small credit was offered after the flooding incident, which hardly paid for a dinner , not worth $500 per night .

    Absolutely amazing!!
Absolutely loved Plantation. There are more up market places but none offer a better experience for a surfing family. Beachfront Bure is absolutely the way to go, steps away from the most beautiful water in the world.

    Family friendly resort
The resort is looking a bit old, it's an ideal place for families not so much for couples (Lomani and musket cove is quieter) plantation has all the activities and day trips. Transfer to cloud 9 was really reasonable too they only offer transfer every second day, book as soon as you arrive. Book black coral restaurant for an a la carte choice as it's quieter option than the buffet. Bula bikes were great option to get around the island. Musket cove has a bigger supermarket than at plantation FYI. No room service so pack extra snacks. Staff were friendly, it's a good resort

    kids paradise
I really enjoyed my stay at plantation island the place is a bit tired and if you remember it's a 3 star not 5 you will be fine. Accomdation is basic but comfortable plus you don't spend much time there too many other great amenities. If you have kids best place to be.
