Great value great location
I really like this place! The "Club Rooms" (which I believe used to be called "Small Rooms") are ideal for a single traveler such as myself. You have a queen sized bed, large enough bathroom, desk, closet, drawers, TV, chair, etc. The first room I was in did not have a refrigerator so I simply requested a room that did. There is chilled filtered water at stations on certain floors. The location is just four blocks east of Union Station, four blocks west of the Art Institute of Chicago and close to several subway and L stations. Many restaurants and theatres are within walking distance.

Clean, no-frills, bring ear plugs
Very affordable, no-frills experience in a fantastic part of Chicago. It's obviously an old building, but it has been updated. The rooms are clean. The biggest issues were (1) the wiring--a short circuit near my room buzzed the entire time and the light in my room went out intermittently (2) the AC--extremely loud but it did drown out the buzzing from the short circuit (3) the technology--the TV works, but only sometimes. I would stay here again because it's the best value in this part of Chicago, but I would bring ear plugs.

Central Loop
Came to the city on break with my son. This was the easiest check in and out I have ever been through. The staff are very friendly and professional and prompt. I highly recommend the central loop!

It is very good location. I am impressed that there is a Yoga mat which was a brand new in the closet. I went to Yoga studio close by the hotel instead, but it is nice to have a Yoga mat in the room. I will defiantly recommend someone to stay this hotel, but I will pick a room having a bath tub.
