Fun bed and breakfast in historic area
Attractive B&B close to park and nice walk from waterfront. We stayed in a room with two double beds which is sometimes hard to find in a B&B. Tasty breakfast.

Home of cute toads
Well placed B and B off tourist strip in most walkable neighborhood. Easy pleasant check in. Bed a bit dated unlike others we found breakfast pretty middling. Nice complimentary wine and cheese pm reception. Greeted by 30 or so copulatng toads upon exiting foom(we were ina garden room.).

This is a lovely historic inn that could be a five star if they did some simple renovations and maintenance. If you're into historic B&Bs you know the rooms are smaller and the bathrooms even smaller. But with that given, the Aiken room we had was charming. Of course, historic inns mean lots of stairs. With the claim they have amenities normally found in the larger hotels, small tvs and no In room coffee was missed We had a problem with the TV, but with no one around after 8pm, we finally figured it out on our own. One window had vines growing into the room from the outside. Behind the blinds there were more vines. Happy hour was your choice of wine but not cheese as advertised. The breakfast cooked and served in the dining room by Colin was wonderful and gave you a chance to meet others and get recommendations. There are several restaurants you can walk to, but try out the Hop On Hop Off Trolley. One stop is just a few blocks from the Inn and takes you through the historic areas and down to the river front.

Charming Victorian home
Gorgeous house, helpful and friendly staff, good breakfast and cocktail hour, great location. House overall was clean, but room had some dirt issues. Amenities missing from room on arrival (shampoo, hangers, hair dryer) but were promptly provided when requested. Room did not have dresser (stored clothes on window sill which I had to clean first). As a basement room, it had humidity control, which was very noisy. Better off not taking basement. The neighborhood is great. House has long balcony which is perfect for the afternoon cocktail hour (or any time). In the Victorian district, next to Forsyth Park, on edge of old historic district. Staff provide great recommendations for food, activities.
