This fully equipped three -storey home with a cozy south -facing patio is the perfect starting point for exploring Ystad's medieval town centre with its cobble stone streets, narrow alleyways and authentic timber frame houses. Located between the church and the theatre, it is close to most things, including the many lovely cafés, bars and restaurants scattered around town. With the windows open you can hear the Tower Watchman ("Tornväktaren") blow his horn at the top of the church tower from 9pm every night – a unique tradition that has been in place since the 18th century. Among Ystad's more contemporary features are the town zoo, the indoor pool with its water slides and climbing wall, and the guided Wallander tours that visit several filming locations. Meanwhile, the several kilometre -long beach is not to be missed and Österlen is also close by. Here you will find Ales Stenar - a Swedish version of Sonehenge - as well as picturesque fishing villages, homesteads, castles and numerous art galleries.
