Very Italian!
Had a great week in Capitolo. Breakfast was a bit chaotic as most tables are reserved for HB & FB so you end up wandering around trying to find a free table. Croissants were amazing. Accommodation is ok, we used it as a base to explore Puglia so it suited our needs. Pool and beach areas are excellent and kept incredibly clean. They need to improve the car gate entry process, why not implant a chip in the room key fob so you can gain access, had to wait a few minutes late at night to be let in. Hire Car is essential as Capitolo has no shop.

Good value got money
The hotel is purely good value for money. We had a great deal on hotels.com and was only staying for 1 night so served it's purpose. True the hotel is not pretty and the rooms were dated but I slept well albeit the mattress was springy. There are great on site facilities that you pay a club fee of 5 euros for so make the most of it! Tennis; mini golf; beach is outside the hotel across the road. There was a great selection for breakfast.

Holiday Location
Just back from Porto Giardino - Great location, being just a short stroll to the Beach and wonderfully friendly staff. They have a fantastic young team who go around getting you involved in all sorts of activities and families with small children will love the activities arranged for the youngsters. I would recommend only Bed & Breakfast as the food available at the hotel is not that of a 4* hotel and anyone booking this place needs to be aware of a 6 Euro charge per person per day to use all the facilities and engage in the activities - my first experience at check-in was a bill for 240 euros for my group of 4 adults staying for 10 nights plus a further 2 euros per person per night for a new hotel tax - 316 euros in total before you even get to your room!! The restaurants are all within a 5 to 10 minute stroll from the hotel and all offer open dining areas with views over the sea. Great location and Great staff but not really a 4* hotel.

Bring your own pillow
The hotel grounds are right off the set of the Brady Bunch goes to Hawaii. Total 70's retro! Pillows suck unless you enjoy laying your head on a brick. Great beach with private parking but it is 2 miles away if you don't have a car.
