It's good for the solo traveler.
I had two beds in my room. If there were two people it would have been an uncomfortable experience. Other than that the amenities and the cleanliness of the room was excellent. I had the option to upgrade to free breakfast with the package but I was leaving early the next day. The location is very close to the Central World Mall. I am going to remember the location of this hotel for the proximity of the shopping districts. The staff was helpful and made checking in and out easy.

Small, but good location.
It's a small place, but good location. The room was not cleaned thoroughly. I stayed for 25 days. At the end of last week, there was dust on the table and behind the door. Overall, I like it. I'll come back and stay.

Great value for the price
We really needed a place to relax with AC. There is a convenience store across the street and good restaurants nearby. There are plenty of places for massage and nearby access to taxis and the metro.

No hot water ....
I choose ibis because if their pet friendly policy. This was my first time to ibis Sathorn. It was not easy to find so I will pass along some directions and accompanying photos: take exit 1 from Lumphini Station. Turn tight when you leave the station. Go straight. Turn right before the bridge and 7/11 at Lisa LAMO. Walk for a bit. It is a narrow road. On the right you will see Malaysia Hotel. Ibis Sathorn is on your left. I gave this hotel a poor rating because in the morning thete was no hot water. Yes, really. So I had a cool shower. I told the desk and they asked for my room number, noting that I was not the only one who had had this problem and that maintenance would fix it (though not in time for me to have had a hot shower). This, of course, came with an apology. I will also add that I let reception know there was long black hair in the bathroom and on the floor under the desk. Not mine. Another apology and they will let the maid service know moving forward. Really not up to ibis standards, however, the staff are friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and I was able to keep my luggage there for a few hours after check out, as my flight was not until the evening. The area does not offer much, aside from cheap (and good) massages and an Indian restaurant and 7/11 across the road. My preference by far lies with ibis Sukhumvit 4 (Nana Station).
