Pleasant Stay at a Lovely House
We had a great stay at Buffalo Tavern. The hosts were kind and so accommodating. I had to leave earlier than normal breakfast time to go do a half marathon and Paps went above and beyond expectations and made my boyfriend and I delicious gluten free breakfast sandwiches and apple slices to go! We stayed in the Juliette Room and I took a relaxing bath in the claw foot tub. I definitely recommend staying here.

Beautiful Accommodations In the NC High Country
I was in town for pleasure but unfortunately, during my stay, I fell quite ill with a migraine. I was so glad I was at Buffalo Tavern and not at a motel! Tracy took such good care of me, making sure that I had anything I needed. She fed me comfort food for breakfast, made sure I had access to bottled water and soda upstairs so I didn’t have to tackle the stairs unnecessarily, and gave me her cell number in case I needed help. I can’t thank her enough! As for the inn itself, it is beautifully maintained and very comfortable. Set ina beautiful area of the North Carolina mountains, the only drawback for some might be the 15-20 minutes ride into town, partially on a crooked country road. You get a great breakfast at the inn, but lunch and dinner are some distance away. All in all, though, my stay at Buffalo Tavern was worth far more than those few miles into town. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND A STAY THERE! Pam

Buffalo Tavern B&B was a very nice place to stay for our trip to the mountains for a wedding. I would recommend it to others who are looking for a nice quiet place to stay. The breakfast was good and service was excellent.

This place was very nice, but Doc made it extra special. Thanks for the great stay.

We were at the inn over New Years weekend and the weather was chilly and overcast. A lot of the little stores and eateries downtown closed early for New Years eve and did not reopen on Sunday, New Years Day, so there really wasn't much to do that weekend around W. Jefferson. We hung out in our room New Years eve and had some drinks, but had had trouble really watching "the Ball" drop on Doc's very small TV.
