Pitbauchlie House Hotel, Dunfermline
Comfortable and dog friendly hotel and great staff
A very nice 3/4 star hotel with a fabulous staff and a really nice breakfast. The hotel is quite old and 'traditional' in style but that meant that the walls are thick and you can't hear the neighbours. The decor is dated but the beds were clean as were the linens. Plenty of hot water in the bathroom and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We also took our dog which was a bonus and even though the room must had accomodated dogs before - there was zero evidence so they seem to deep clean well after each visit. We will definitely be returning.

Fantastic hotel, with a very warm and friendly staff. Great options with 2 dining areas (with excellent food) and 2 bar areas. The back garden is wonderfully kept up, offering amazing views south towards Edinburgh. Location is great fro getting to downtown Dunfermline, as well as exploring further afield. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

People were very helpful. Setting is very nice. Neighborhood is pleasant, and site is nicely located and easy to access. Room was clean, cleaning staff were very pleasant people. Hotel has no elevator, so I recommend getting a first floor room if you have lots of luggage. Restaurant was super and has a view of the rose garden, which was beautiful. I wish I had found the rose garden earlier. Beds were very hard. Very close to the train, an ASDA, and the post office in the Co-op. If you're driving, be aware the sign for the hotel is hidden behind a tree and you won't see it until you're about to pass it.
