Pitbauchlie House Hotel, Dunfermline
Comfortable and dog friendly hotel and great staff
A very nice 3/4 star hotel with a fabulous staff and a really nice breakfast. The hotel is quite old and 'traditional' in style but that meant that the walls are thick and you can't hear the neighbours. The decor is dated but the beds were clean as were the linens. Plenty of hot water in the bathroom and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We also took our dog which was a bonus and even though the room must had accomodated dogs before - there was zero evidence so they seem to deep clean well after each visit. We will definitely be returning.

Fantastic hotel, with a very warm and friendly staff. Great options with 2 dining areas (with excellent food) and 2 bar areas. The back garden is wonderfully kept up, offering amazing views south towards Edinburgh. Location is great fro getting to downtown Dunfermline, as well as exploring further afield. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Not too private
Good clean room, but walls paper thin, so when next door room came in at 1.00am obviously the worse for wear we heard him fall over and bang his head on the radiator. We then had a delightful hour listening to their intimate goings on. At breakfast when our waitress knocked over my coffee cup she didn't even ask if I was alright, obviously because she must think I love bathing in red hot coffee.
