Disappointing Stay. Not what I was expecting
Overall, our stay at Peace Resort was okay. I was very excited about this hotel because the photos looked beautiful and the reviews were good. Immediately upon arrival, we were offered a complimentary drink which was delicious and very nice. However, as we left the reception area, the staff person was telling us about all the food and amenities but that everything is an extra cost. It was very overwhelming and bombarding. Furthermore, this was the most expensive hotel of our trip, and yet everything was an extra cost. It immediately rubbed me the wrong way. Furthermore, complimentary water was in the room, but only 2 small bottles. When I asked if we could have more, the woman told me it would be an extra cost. Every other hotel in Thailand that we stayed provided unlimited, complimentary bottled water, and here we were on a very hot island and only one small bottle of water per person was offered? That just didn’t seem right. Her solution to me was to go to the convenient store across the street and buy water there. Furthermore, the soap and shampoo they put in the guest rooms is the same cheap pink soap that you will see all over Thailand in public restrooms. When I asked about this, they told me that wasn’t true and they use the special spa products they sell in the gift shop. This was untrue as those products are white and smell completely different than what’s in the guest rooms. Overall, it was a nice location and the beach is beautiful, but it feels like a lie.

Great resort, great location close to all restaurants and bars, shopping at the Fisherman village. Room was ok, should have booked a bungalow as the view was disappointing. Breakfast as expected and good. Only strange thing - staff asked everyone else if all was ok, but not us, ever! Not to worry as all was fine, just strange. Pool service was not overly friendly or tentative but ok. Huge beach towels and no fuss.

This property was close to the beach, had a nice pool/lounge area, and a good layout in general. While overall it was quite enjoyable to stay and roam around with many hotels, activities, and beaches nearby. We personally had a bit of an issue with our room layout as well as a few amenities that did not function as promised. It could have a been a fluke, and I don't want to review this place badly as it was a fun, family-friendly space to spend time, but there were a couple of disappointments that could have been avoided. Still recommend this resort - The breakfast, surrounding property, service, and help we received for excursion planning was great!

Highly recommend the beachfront pool villa. Unobstructed views right on the beach, but elevated enough for privacy. Cleanliness and attention to details. Staff was delightful.

The property is excellent, it's welcoming, comfortable and scrupulously clean. The staff are wonderful too. The food and beverage prices, like all resorts, are a little high, but not outrageously so and walking out of the resort turn left or right and there is a good range of local and international food, all within 15 minutes walk - I would rate this as a great place to base yourself near Fisherman's village. The pool is a good size, the bar is right there and the beach is so close it's almost part of the resort

We accidentally stayed here and it was SUCH a great accident! The hotel we'd booked - called a beach resort - actually had no beach. Interesting photos had been taken to suggest a beach, but nope, no sand. So, we looked around and this amazing place was offering a last minute rate. My three friends and I jumped at the deal. What a gorgeous property - everything was designed for comfort. It was luxurious - the pool may be the largest on the island. The beach was wonderful - even though we had several days of rain. We ate at the restaurant often but the thing I would comment on is how kind and lovely every person we ran into at the Peace Resort. Especially our concierge Niko - who made sure we had everything we needed. Perfect WiFi, great bed, terrific amenities - wonderful shower - it was a dream.
