Nice Hotel, A bit Pricey
We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights before we started our trek to Machu Picchu. The staff were all very welcoming and attentive. They helped us get a cup of tea and wait in the beautifully furnished lounge space since we arrived before check-in. Within 30 minutes they let us know our room as ready and the porter carried our bags to the room. The room only had a very small window (16x40") or so that faced an internal corridor. The room was well decorated and very clean, very firm bed! The bathroom was small but functional. I noticed an odor coming from the toilet that never went away - sort of like sewer gases. I also started getting a stuffy nose and allergies fairly soon upon arrival. I realized it was worse in the bathroom. Upon looking into the exhaust fan designed to remove the humidity from the room I noticed black mold inside it (I am very allergic). Unfortunately this fan turns on everytime you turn the bathroom light on which led to many days of stuffy/runny nose and sneezing. I informed the hotel upon checkout of this issue. The breakfast buffet had incredible selection. Pre-made and made-to-order eggs, potatoes, vegetables, meats, cheeses, salad, selection of yogurts, selection of cereals, tons of pastries, fresh fruit, fresh fruit juices, pancakes, oatmeal, chia seeds, sesame seeds, fresh tea and coffee, and more. The staff working this area were very nice. All in all this is a good hotel. I thought it was a bit pricey for the quality of the room itself.

Incredible! We stayed here two nights, went to Machu Picchu, then came back and stayed another night. The staff couldn’t be nicer! They are professional, attentive, knowledgeable, and kind!

Great hotel and location!
Fantastic hotel and friendly staff. Hotel is right by the best hotels and cultural spots, as well as the bus/rail to Machu Picchu. Highly recommend.

Good 6.0
Beautiful rooms, staff could be friendlier.
The rooms are beautiful but the staff could be better, at first they were super friendly but towards the end of my stay and particularly when I was leaving they made me feel unwelcome. When I collected my luggage the man at the front desk couldn’t be bothered with me, when i left it was clear i was displeased and he didn’t even say good bye or thank you. I booked one of the more expensive rooms in the hotel more for my own comfort and less to be treated preferentially but I did expect at least some kindness.
