Great hotel, awesome staff, shame about the beds
I've stayed at Le Meridien Bangkok a number of times and it is always great. The location is very convenient for all that Patpong and the surrounding area has to offer and the hotel is excellent. The staff are kind, welcoming and always helpful, in particular the front desk staff (special thanks to Loic for his helpful and friendly service and his tips on the local area) and the team at Bamboo Chic bar on level 4. If you're staying in an Executive room or have SPG privileges, the daily happy hour at Bamboo Chic is excellent. I have two minor issues - though the pillows in all rooms are excellent (a rare find even in top hotels) the beds are too hard. I've never commented on this before but this is now the second occasion I have left this hotel after short stays and suffered back and shoulder problems for several days afterwards. The mattresses are simply too hard for anyone that sleeps on their side. This could be solved with high quality mattress toppers, offering a layer of soft comfort but still having a firm mattress for support underneath. Secondly, the breakfast offering is truly excellent BUT they cease serving (and promptly remove all buffet items) at 10:30am. For a hotel in this location where guests are highly likely to be out late at night, this is much too early to close breakfast. I wish they would listen to feedback on this and change the timings.

My number 2 hotel in Bangkok
I have stayed at this property 4 times. It is a 5 star hotel in Bangkok and you can expect excellent service. On my last visit however, I've expressed my disappointment with my room service breakfast to the attendant when checking out. The omelette was literally burnt --- but she just shrugged it off without even an apology. I believe at Sofitel they would compensate had they done the same for that. In general I would say that the quality of food at this hotel is subpar. I've eaten at the buffet twice and it was not fresh and choices were limited compared to some other 5 star properties. Room service food is on and off with my breakfast being pretty horrible. I would stay here again, but I do hope they can do something about the quality of their food.

Fair 4.0
One of the worst hotels I have ever been.
One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in Bangkok. Reasons are as follow. 1. Delay in check-in process(room wasn't ready even after arriving at the hotel around 3 in the afternoon) 2. Required pet fee for no apparent reason. W Hotel Bangkok charge pet fee but it is worth paying for since they provide variety of pet amenities whereas Le Meridien hotel provides nothing except small used mattress. I had to request urine pads for my pet but they couldn't even understand what that was. 3. Check-out : the receptionist tried to charge me with hotel room charge twice accidentally at least that was her explanation. If I did not have thorough review of the invoice, I could end up paying the room charge twice. She immediately apologized for he mistake but it was highly unprofessional. 4. Food at the pool area was horrible. With all the negative reasons above, I will never return to the hotel Le Meridien Bangkok.

Exceptional 10.0
Excellent location in a bustling section of Bangko
I have traveled the world over and have stayed at very fine hotels, and I would compare them all with Le Meridien in Bangkok, Thailand. As is the case with all businesses that interact with the public, the ability treat each client as their most important is the number one key to success. Le Meridien exceeds these requirements in personal ways I've never experienced. Their knowledge of your needs and how to service them is tops. The food is wonderful morning, noon and night, and room service routinely arrives at any time of the day or night within twenty minutes. The decor of the hotel is delightfully unusual with mixed art expressions throughout. I thoroughly enjoyed finding gems where ever I went. Rooms are great and clean with rates that are surprisingly affordable. I really haven't enjoyed any hotel as much as the Le Meridien and am going to find an excuse to come back next year. I even received a business card from one of the staff to let him know when I was coming. Which I will certainly do!

Good 6.0
Hotel is comfortable but ....
I stayed with my friend for three nights in Christmas holiday. The hotel facilities & condition, cleanses and comfort is pleasing. The room is spacious; the room and toilet setting is user friendly. But still have minor things to be improved in the room, the problems are: shower power is fair enough; the mattress is little bit soft. The staff is responsible. If they can show more smiles will be more pleasing. The location is just in Patpong Night market and walk to nearest Sala Daeng BTS Skytrain is about 8 min. If you plan for enjoy the night market, this is a good location. However, one unbelievable is the hotel does not provide free Wi-Fi in hotel ( maybe you can if you are SPG members or try to ask receptionist ) that is very weird in this electronic communication century - this is essential for our daily life esp for travellers in a new place to get direction.
