Two notes: there was no place to set anything in the bathroom. Also, need to put street address on web site for use with gps

Unfriendly front of house staff.
The staff were very stuffy, room was comfortable but not what we asked for, it looked out over another roof! Quite disappointed with it after our last stay.

Nice for Business
Nice location and friendly staff. Room was modern and well laid out for business traveler. Iron & ironing board as well as a trouser press. Rolling and well kept lawn and gardens. Food was excellent in the restaurant.

Great hotel for a stay, just don't dine there.
Delightful English countryside manor converted to a hotel. Fabulous rooms and beautiful setting. The new modern bar is very nice (I preferred the club-like feel of the old bar, and being served in the library, but that is just my preference). Bar/Food service was excellent, front desk service was a bit sketchy. The only real negative was the food. The burger was so tough it was hard to cut and chew and, along with the salad and the soup, completely flavorless. Also, they charged 5 GBP for a bottle of beer - Seems pretty steep for a pint.

Excellent hotel in lovely surroundings.
The room, service and breakfast were all excellent. The evening meal was OK but not memorable and didn’t represent good value for money. The starters in particular were minuscule - all of mine would have easily fitted on a tablespoon. Having said that, it was a lovely dining room, with excellent service and a good wine list.
