Two notes: there was no place to set anything in the bathroom. Also, need to put street address on web site for use with gps

Unfriendly front of house staff.
The staff were very stuffy, room was comfortable but not what we asked for, it looked out over another roof! Quite disappointed with it after our last stay.

Nice for Business
Nice location and friendly staff. Room was modern and well laid out for business traveler. Iron & ironing board as well as a trouser press. Rolling and well kept lawn and gardens. Food was excellent in the restaurant.

An overnight in the country...
Great venue for a cosy getaway. We didn't do the recommended walks but we dined in the restaurant and had drinks in the casual lounge area. Food was very good, service was a very formal (I love the whole white glove bit) but very responsive, you couldn't fault the service in any way, but maybe the outward persona doesn't need to be quite so serious - a tiny thing, please don't let it put you off - the service was faultless. We had drinks on the lounge area, the staff were very attentive and the wine selection is absolutely superb. Despite having booked the restaurant we spoke to the team and asked to stay in the lounge for an hour and bump our restaurant reservation back - nothing was too much trouble (but I'm sure there would be times when this wouldn't be possible). The building is very impressive in really good grounds, really clean and well presented. Our room was immaculate without any signs of wear or tiredness, it was tip top. The bathroom was exceptionally well presented and modern. All in all - very recommended and good value for money.
