Service PLUS
We were in Abilene for college baseball and I can't say enough about how we were treated -- like celebrities!! Breakfast was top shelf, the bar was awesome, the rooms were spotless. This is simply a great hotel.

A hairy shower won't dampen our style.
The only problem we found was all of the hair that was on the shower walls. It was not mine or my husbands as we hadn't taken a shower yet. The bed were super comfy and I loved the choices of channels offered on the tv. The indoor pool and hot tub were perfect and at the time we were the only ones using it. We will stay there again.

Not so much a family hotel
Housekeeping was their too early to clean about 8am family was still asleep they went about 3 times in an hour pool are seemed more like an adult area too many people drinking in the area and didn't seem like guest due to the fact that they were changing into there going out clothes in bathroom bathrooms could of been a little bigger for the cost of the room wouldn't stay their again

My go-to hotel in Abilene--highly recommended
My second time at this location. Barring any major issues, it will be my go-to hotel in future stays in Abilene. Nice lobby (including a long, beautiful, wood table); friendly, helpful staff; safe area; clean, quiet, comfortable room. The mattress was a little firm for me (a pillow-top would have be ideal), but not uncomfortable. Plush pillows; fresh, clean bath and bed linens. I don't use the tub, so I liked that the shower was walk-in and had a tall shower head that delivered good water pressure. The bathroom door closed on its own, which became inconvenient when moving between the bathroom and room repeatedly. Remote on TV was a challenge--it had to be close and pointed at exactly the right angle to change channels. Keurig coffee maker (with several pods and accompaniments), mini-fridge, and microwave oven. Office chair suitable for long-term sitting, uncluttered desk with multiple outlets (would like to have had USB charging hub on desk, also). Breakfast, though not free, was worth the nominal price. Staff at breakfast bar were friendly and offered great service. Full-service bar after 5:00 staffed by knowledgeable, attentive bartender. Though I didn't use them this trip, there is an indoor pool, exercise room, and guest laundry facilities. Property close to mall (with theater), restaurants, and upscale grocery store. Overall, a very pleasant experience. I will return regularly and highly recommend it to other travelers.

Probably the worst customer service ever
When we arrived for our stay, the AC was on in the room during the middle of winter, and the room was less than 60 degrees F. We adjusted the thermostat to 70 degrees, and the heater turned on, stayed on, and would not turn off despite turning off the unit at the thermostat. By 1:00am, the room was 86 degrees. The front desk did not seem to care, and simply stated they "would notify maintenance". The issue was never resolved, and the hotel did not offer to change our room or make concessions of any kind. I was very disappointed with the customer service, and I will not be staying at any Hilton hotel again.
