Subpar
The hotel was well located but was definitely lacking a few ammenities. It took 30 minutes for the shower water to actually get hot. Also they provided a weird assortment of shower products including a shower cap, two bottles of body lotion, and a comb but none of the actual products that you would need to shower necessarily. There was a gross stain on my friends pillow case which made us a little uneasy about the linens on our beds. The complimentary breakfast is basically just toast and boiled eggs so if you're looking for something with a little more substance don't get exited about the breakfast. In addition, while the staff was usually helpful, when we asked directions for the shuttle bus to incheon airport we were told it was just right across the street. After walking six blocks we still did not find it. We ended up missing our plane.

Disappointing
Location is ok but is hard to get to due to limited locations of pedestrian crossings. Best thing staff did was to bring ice to the room, but it was downhill after that. The carpet in the room was very worn and made it look dirty. If you like "fifties" style decor you will like this hotel. It was built in 1959 and looks like it hasn't changed since. Staff was not able to understand much english and often misinterpreted what you were asking. It was hard to trust their recommendations on anything. One big disappointment is that the wifi is only in the lobby, not in your room. That really made it difficult getting tourist information since the staff was hard to work with. They had fixed answers on getting to the subway and airport bus, but that's about it. They often got tourist information wrong. The safety latch on the door is a slide lock like you put on the door under your house(and it looked like it should be outside). You pushed it straight up and was hard to engage. My wife could not undo it once I forced it up into the door jam. The other big dissapointment was their breakfast. Toast, coffee, juice, hardboiled eggs, cereal and prepackaged yogurt. If you think you might get scambled eggs, it won't happen. If you ask for anything, they throw their hands up and motion they don't understand. At night the restaurant(which is part of the hotel property) is an italian style restaurant, so they are capable of much more.

Old hotel in a great area
I've stayed at the hotel a few years ago, mostly for the location. This time I was disappointed because of the noise at night from other rooms. The phone and internet didn't work in the room when I arrived, however the phone was fixed within the first few hours - I couldn't get the internet to work. There's WiFi in the lobby so I went down to use that. The room was clean and the bathroom very large with a bathtub - that's important to me. The hotel is within walking distance of Myeong Dong shopping area and a quick taxi ride to Seoul Station. The breakfast was really sparse and disappointing and on the second day we skipped it and went out to eat.
